During the 13th century, it was center of Islamic learning and many famous scholars and saints buried here in this small town visit the spectacular tombs of Bibi Jawindi and Jalal-udin Surkh Bukhari with its beautiful glazed tile decoration before proceeding to Multan.
Multan has an ancient history and every invader who entered the Indian subcontinent from Alexander to the Mughal and even the British struggled for its control. Walk through its colorful bazaars and visit the beautiful octagonal tombs of Bahauddin Zakria and Shah Ruk-e-Alam.
